Independence Week
/ Autumn McKenzie JacksonOur country is far from perfect, but we are afforded many freedoms. Gratitude goes along way. Thanking our military service men and women for protecting our freedoms is important.
My hope is always that we find the urgency to live this live according to our dreams and purpose. I do not ever want to take our freedom for granted. To that end, today is the best day to start.
The possibilities are endless. She is learning to hear from God. She knows that He has a plan and a purpose for her life. She has persevered through many things and her story of overcoming with help others.
Tory Palecek is my best friend from college. I met Tory the first day of volleyball preseason freshman year at Colgate University. We were both incoming freshmen. She immediately made an impression on me.
This is my dad, Benjamin McKenzie. He is a handsome tall man. More often than not, you hear me talk about my mom. My mom was the outspoken one and it is easy to give her credit for most but that would be inaccurate.
On paper, I appear to be over committed and pulled by two sports in separate directions.
Today is Audrey’s birthday. She is 14 years old. I must tell you about her! What an extraordinary young lady! In addition to being an excellent student, she plays the saxophone and is an excellent swimmer. She is beautiful…

Then she asked me about my wedding dress and if she could try it on. I told her tomorrow would have been our wedding anniversary.
God touched my heart to shift my perspective on motherhood.
